Priority Issues

🏫 Investing In Kids and Classroom
Heidi will fight for our kids and classrooms. As a former public school teacher with her own children in Colorado schools, Heidi will roll up her sleeves for the kids in Colorado, investing in our teachers and our education budget, and elevating mental health access for children. High school students should also have access to apprenticeships and industry-based certificates for the workforce, preparing them to be successful
🏘️Housing That Works for Everyone
Strong communities are built on the foundation of stable, attainable, and income-aligned housing. Heidi works to ensure that teachers, seniors, young families, and lifelong residents can afford to stay in the neighborhoods they love. Heidi has advocated at the state capitol for missing middle housing, and supported streamlining processes while supporting safe places to live with community input.

🧠 Smart
Healthcare
Heidi believes that everyone should have access to affordable, quality healthcare
It's no secret that healthcare is under attack. That’s why she champions expanding access to mental health resources in schools, workplaces, and across our healthcare system. She’s committed to building a more connected, compassionate.
🏗️ Sustainable Infrastructure and Transportation
HD33 has been waiting long enough for reliable, safe, and frequent transportation options. This also means we fight for federal transportation dollars to plan for rail, rapid bus transit, and walkable places that are safe and reliable. Investment in our future transportation needs not only supports a better quality of life, it expands economic development as well.
